Demonstrations
Demonstration at the Ducis & Everleigh Village
show - 12th Sept 2009
People turned out in force for this annual event which was blessed
with glorious late summer weather. A change in the organising committee
meant that this year’s event was much larger than in previous years and
coupled with the warm sunshine, hundreds of people flocked to the show.
The arena schedule was jam packed and our demonstration
had to be very slick and efficient to fit into the 20 minutes allotted time.
The team of Neil Sanderson, Martin and Maisie Smith, Dave Standidge, Matt
Stevenson, Lorraine Ryall, Emily Kinchlea, Toby Allen and Kezom Sherpa did a
fantastic job of keeping the watching crowd entertained, with some excellent
displays of patterns, sparring, self defence routines and power breaking
feats – in particular Toby and Kezom, taking part in their first ever
demonstration and Dave Standidge’s finale of a fire break on two 4” blocks,
caught superbly by the Advertiser’s photographer, Andy Brooks.
The organisers were thrilled with our contribution to the show, commenting on how impressive the demonstration was and how it was enjoyed by many of the show visitors. A very special thank you to the team for giving up your time to put on such a fantastic spectacle. Roll on 2010! You can view photographs from the event on our gallery page.
